It is an interesting point of view how maximizing the knowledge of one area, is used to make a happier life. There is simply nothing wrong with that. As a trend it is understandable. The price point of technology and methods to get information from a variety of biological sources has made the whole industry more accessible to a big audience.
Praising the efficiency and accurate measurements, are bringing the freeway of boosting our inner happiness. Measuring and optimizing sleep rhythms, brings a constant metric observation to our life. More and more signals of the living body are being measured. The purpose of all this is to gain a healthier and longer life.
All of this could also contain a hidden danger. I guess it’s commonly known philosophical thinking, that the trip is more important than reaching the destination. How does that reflect on this metric and measuring-based lifestyle? Well, let’s get back to that freeway analogy.
